Hunger Games-Catching Fire

Hey munchkins!
This holiday the cinema is one of my favourite and most visited destinations:)I've been to the cinema five times in almost a week:P One of these times I went to Catching Fire, the second movie in the Hunger Games-trilogy.

 I went with my friend, and we had forgotten to make reservations and when we arrived we came to the frightening discovery that there were only three seats left! We were already counting on the fact that we couldn't sit next to eachother or not see the movie at all. But when we asked at the desk we found out we could sit next to eachother, on the second row. that's not exactly our favourite spot, but nonetheless, we could see the movie and ofcourse went.  

The Story

Katniss Everdeen has won the Hunger Games, but her troubles are far from over. The Capitol sees that Katniss has become a symbol of freedom for the people, and they're determined to stop a revolution and eliminate our heroine. They even organise another Hunger Games, between all the tributes who've won the Games before.

What it looks like

This is an exciting, quite heavy and really adventurous movie full of rebellious actions and mean political games. It looks nice, with a lot of close-up shots of especially Katniss' face and lots of blue-grey colours. The movie looks real, and you get sucked into it.

Long story short

I quite liked this movie. I'd give it three stars out of five, I think.

Saving Mr. Banks

Hey guys!
 I saw this beautiful movie on a really cosy evening with my grandparents in the cinema. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and touching, and it brought me to light tears. 

The Story
Saving Mr. Banks is a moving film about the writer of Mary Poppins, a slightly mean and cranky woman amazingly portraited by Emma Thompson. Walt Disney, played by the unrecognisable-is that a word?-Tom Hanks, has made a promise to his two daugthers to make a movie of the amazing book Mary Poppins by Mrs. Travers. Pamela, however, feels she can't sell Mary Poppins and critises everything Disney and his team come up with for the movie. While they're trying to convince Mrs. Travers to sell the rights you see the authors backstory, a tragic and moving tale in which you recognise an awful lot of the story about Mary Poppins and the Banks family.

What it looks like

This movie, beautifully filmed, edited and acted is really moving and will all the softies in the world, like me, feel their eyes become red and produce a tear. Emma is really convincing as the author of the book and Tom really is Walt Disney. Amazing scenes and the songs from the movie all come to live once again!

All in short;

Go and see this amazing movie if you want to see a moving tale, are interested in P. J. Travers backstory, are a Disney-fan or just want a good night out;)

Frozen!

Hey guys! I'm sorry there hasn't been a blog post in ages, I was just really busy with....stuff. But, now the Christmas Holidays are upon us, I have time to go to the Cinema!!!
I absolutely loove to go to a movie there, the whole thing it is; watching the movie, eating popcorn, drinking a milkshake, watching the trailers and everything.

I'm going to visit five movies this holiday, oh yesss. I've already seen three of them, and one of them is Frozen.

The story

I absolutely loved the story, Frozen's about two sisters, one of them, Elsa, has magical powers and turns everything she touches into ice. When a little accident happens with her little sister Anne, their parents decide to hide their daughter and they teach her to be really quite and not talk or seek contact with anyone, not even her little sister. But when Elsa's going to become queen, she can't controll her powers when Anne says she wants to marry a certain prince she's only just met! Winter falls upon the whole kingdom and Elsa flees. With the unexpected help of a snowman, reindeer and handsome stranger, Anne goes on her way to seek her sister so she can stop the winter and make peace with her.

What it looks like

The animation in this movie is stunning. The ice, the hair and the fabrics of all the dresses the sisters wear, are done beautifully and seem real! The 3D is great as well, by the way. The characters are lovable; Elsa because she's so isolated and lonely, Anne because she's really outgoing, Kristoff and Sven his reindeer 'cause they're funny and sweet and Olaf the snowman because he's absolutely hilarious. 

In short;

You should totally go and see this new Disney classic. The songs are lovely as well, even when you're not a true Disney-fan, I guess you'd like the surprising storyline and outstanding animation.

 I love Makeup. I do not really know a lot about makeup, but I still really like this channel. They're all really enthousiastic about makeup and they bring it all in a fresh, understandable way. And they put out the show Grace's Faces,with Grace Helbig, and I love it!

Sprinkle of Glitter/ Louise. Louise is really nice. She's sweet and really funny. She's best friends with Zoe and is already married. She has one of the most adorable children ever, her little girl Darcy. She makes videos about Random things and beauty. She's a bit curvy and is really inspirational and confident. Tanya Burr. Tanya is probably the most innocent and sweet person on youtube. She's engaged to the amazing Jim Chapman and makes collaboration videos, but mostly beauty. Hey guys!
I watched Life of Pi a week ago. Well... That happened.
I'm still not interely sure what I thought of the movie, and that's a bit odd for me because I usually know if I liked a movie or not. Now I don't!
Life of Pi certainly was a beautiful movie. The shots were Amazing most of the time, the colours really bright and absolutely stunning and the actors convincing.
I personally wasn't that fond of the zebra-, monkey- and goat-eating-scenes, but that's just because I'm not really fond of seeing animals get killed.

Story
Pi lives in India with his family. His parents run a zoo (I personally liked his mom, and his dad until he killed a goat) and so Pi grows up there. At a certain point they decide to go abroad and get on with their zoo there. They take their animals and travel by boat. At night it starts storming and Pi "encourages" the storm to get harder an so the ship sinks. Really sad.
Pi is left alone on a boat with a monkey, a zebra, a hyaena and a tiger. The hyaena eats the zebra, and kills the monkey in a fight. Then the tiger, called Richard Parker, kills the hyaena, if I remember all of this right;). Then Pi is left alone at sea with a tiger, a boat, biscuits and his selfmade raft attached to the boat to avoid Richard Parker. This is how he spends the rest of his time in the movie;

And then the cliffhanger; Will he ever see land again?

What I thought of the Movie-spoiler alert!-
I thought the movie was stunning in it's colours and shots, as said before, and you could see that they worked on it a very long time. I give the actor who played Pi credits for performing the part so well, because if Pi was played by a crap actor, the movie wouldn't have been so good. He performed like he was Pi.
The animals were mostly Computer Generated and I thought you could see that sometimes. When the monkey looks really sad, for instance. But at other times, the animals seemed completely real.
It wasn't really a feel-good-movie in my opinion.
Well, the movie was quite good and looked stunning, but the story line just didn't really appeal to me.

Watch it again?
This is what concerns me, I'm not really sure if I will. Maybe I'm being a bit too harsh, it is a pretty good movie after all:)
Recommend it?
If you want a  feel-good-happy-movie it's best if you chose something else. If you just want an interesting movie, but a bit sad at times, look no further.

I'm sorry I didn't post in quite a long time, everything became a bit messy with my new time table for school.

4.Lady gaga "Hair"- a review by Dailygrace.
when I saw this for the first time, I really didn't now what to think about it, and thought her voice was annoying. Now, as you may now, I'm a big Dailygrace fan and love her videos. This is just a very funny video of her twisting the lyrics of lady gaga's song Hair. This video isn't very recent, but who cares. If you're going to watch it, it's nice to listen to the original song first.

3. What is it? Challenge- Tanya Burr and Tyler Oakley
I'm in love with Tyler Oakley, and like Tanya Burr as well, so I knew at the start I would like this video. One of them gets blindfolded, and the other can put something random in the other persons hand. The person with the blindfold on has to feel and guess what it is. I love the fact Tanya gets very scared when she has the blindfold on:)

1. Cotton Ball Challenge- Dailygrace and Joey Graceffa

I literally lost count on how many times I've watched this video. I only know it's way too many for a normal human being;). Also, I had a top comment on this video a little while, not anymore, and I was soo excited about that! This video always makes me laugh. Joey tries to cheat-spoiler alert!- and the way Grace reacts just makes me laugh out loud ( Literally). You need to watch this if you need to be cheered up or something like that. You just need to watch it.

Youtuber Challenge Part 2; Favourite Girl Youtuber?

I've already failed! I was trying to do the youtuber challenge and post a new answer to the next question every day, but my new time table for school's really bad, we needed to sort all of that out first.

The Youtuber Challenge!

Hey guys!

So, as you may have seen if you looked at any of the posts here below, I'm in love with youtube and the whole Youtuber-Universe. So, on Tumblr, I came across a so called Youtuber Challenge.

Each day, for about 25-maybe more, maybe less- days, you answer a question about your favourite youtuber or video, person you want to meet, couple you ship the most/should collab etc.

I loved the challenge, so I'm going to attempt it! 

It's not high quality, but whatever. You gotta work with what you get, don't you?

Also, I found two versions of this so I'm going to attempt both of them at the same time. 

Well, the questions for day one are the same so lets get started!

1. Favourite Boy Youtuber.

This one's really easy for me; Tyler Oakley! I love him. He looks so cute and have you ever heard his laugh? How adorable is that!

Tags 'n challenges, Part 2; what are all those youtube challenges about?

Hey people living on this planet!
So, I promised a part two about all the challenges on youtube lately, and I didn't broke my word!
 If you have heard some people talk about a challenge you did not know, maybe you can look up what it is in this post! Also, I believe this post is going to be really long, be prepared!
So, here's some information and inspiration on the subject; youtube challenges.

Challenges

The Accent Challenge; while doing the accent challenge, the players try to speak made up sentences in different accents from different country's and parts of different country's. This challenge can be quit difficult and funny as well, but when the video is very long, I think it's a bit boring, sometimes. No offence.
Favourite; The Amazing Accent Challenge by Thatcher Joe and The Accent Challenge by Zoella and Marcus Butler.

The 3 Minute Makeup challenge; I never really understood this challenge, I assume it's just about putting as many make-up on your face in three minutes as possible.
Favourite; 3 minute makeup challenge by pointlessblog and chai.

The Humming challenge; In this challenge one person is humming a chosen song, and the other has to guess what song it is. Of course, the person with the most right answers, wins. Nice and funny, and frustrating for the contestants.
Favourite; Humming Challenge by Joey Graceffa and Tanya Burr.

The Salt & Ice Challenge; I solemnly swear that I will never attempt this challenge. It gives me the creeps. In this challenge you put some salt on your skin, and then press an icecube on it and hold it for a while. After, let's say fifteen seconds, it starts to burn like crazy and the longer you hold on the worse the pain will become. As a result your skin turns red and the icecube leaves a white mark.
Favourite; Salt and Ice Challenge Oliwhite-tv and Jacksgap.

The Cinnamon Challenge; This one may be the most populair challenge on youtube these days. You take a spoon full of cinnamon and try to swallow it. You won't succeed, the cinnamon is why to dry to swallow. Every person I've seen attempting this challenge started coughing out walms of cinnamon, and needed some water desperately. Crazy, and dangerous too.

Favourite; The most Classic Cinnamon Challenge you must see is Glozell's. Another fun one is Dailygrace's.

The Tin Can Challenge; You know those tin cans with the product information on some paper wrapped around it? Mostly beans, cat food and other delicous or disgusting stuff? For this challenge, you take of the paper so you can't see what's in the can's. Buy some "nice" and some "bad" ones and shuffle them around on the table. Now randomly open a can and eat what's inside it without vomiting or spewing it out. This seems funny and disgusting at the same time.

Favourites; Hannah and Tyler & Joe and Alfie. I watched some other ones as well, but these are just the funniest!

The Chubby Bunny Challenge; This is my one of my favourites, I've done it myself. This was really fun to do, you just stuff your mouth full with marshmallows until you can't say the word 'chubby bunny' anymore. The problem is that the marshmallows start to melt at a certain point and you can't stop it from leaking out your mouth. Sounds disgusting, but is quit a funny challenge.

Favourite; I enjoyed my own one the most, but that's not online. So I would say the one from VlogsbyMeredith. Link below.

The Cotton Wool Ball Challenge; I really like this challenge as well, and I would love to attempt it. One person places an empty bowl on his head an gets blindfolded. The other person holds a bowl filled with cotton wool balls. The blindfolded person gets a spoon and then puts that in the cotton wool balls and tries to hold some on the spoon, while bringing it to the bowl on their head. The goal is to get as many balls in your bowl. The difficulity is that you can't feel wether your spoon is empty or full, the balls are so light!

Favourite; Cotton Ball Challenge by Joey Graceffa and Grace Helbig. 

The Disney Challenge; this is definitely my favourite challenge, but it's brand new and invented by Tyler Oakley and Zoella, so no one but them has done it yet. I'm going to attempt it with my parents and maybe I will film that, but I'm not sure yet.

•  My first's. This tag has been going around a lot lately, and it tells all about your first car, job, pet and etc. All little stories. Favourite; The one from Pointlessblog and the one from Tyler Oakley.

Plan a Harry Potter Movie Marathon!

Hey people living on this planet!

As you may know, I'm literally in love with Harry Potter. Last winter, me and three of my friends-one huffelpuff, one ravenclaw and one gryffindor-held a Harry Potter Movie Marathon!

This was. very fun and we absolutely enjoyed it; it's great to see all the movies so short after eachother.

We didn't do it in one goal, though, but we spread it over two days after eachother; four movies a day. As all the films are longer than two hours, this was good for us. You could also see them in one go, but we considered that too long.

So, as I have experience on this subject, I decided to make it in to a step-by-step-plan. I think this is going to be quite long, but it will really help if you want to have a marathon yourself!
Here it comes!

Step 1. Decide for  yourself if you want to watch all the films in one single goal, or if you want to watch them in two halves.

Step 2. Ready? Now, ask some people-friends, family, etc.-if they would be interested in watching all the Harry Potter movies. Decide wether you want to watch the movies at daytime, or night, have a sleepover or not and if you want to watch four films one day and the other four the next. This takes some consideration.

Step 3. Try to set the date to, now you know how many people are coming and when they' re available.

Step 4. Location.It's quite important to have a nice place to held the marathon. It's basically done if you have a television;) Someone's home-probably yours- may be the best place to have it. I held the marathon in my basement, because that's a quit, not filled with furniture, room. We also slept in that same room on some matrasses. We watched everything with a beemer, wich is very nice because it feels like you're in a cinema. So, if you know anyone you can borrow it from, do it!

Step 5. So, if you' re following, you now have a date, location and guests. Now, you can start preparing the fun part!

Step 6. Take out all your Harry Potter movies and lay them in order, just because it's fun to prepare this.

Step 7. Decorate the room! Before your guests arrive, hang some Harry Potter posters on the walls, spread some clothing in the colours of the Hogwarts houses through the room and place a coat rack(is that how you say it? Probably not.) with witchhads and Harry Potter costumes on it.

Step 8. Prepare a Sorting Ceremony. By forehand, make some accounts on Pottermore for your guests and play through the first book until the sorting ceremony. When your guests are there, just go to one of the accounts-be sure to write down all the passwords- and let them be sorted! It's really fun to know  who's in wich house before you start the marathon, i did this too.

Step 9. Food and drinks. If you're guests stay for dinner, and I bet they will unless you send them home,
just give them something easy like chips or pizza. As the snacks throughout the movies, you could try to make some butterbeer by looking up a recipe. I couldn't find all the ingredients, so I just used Ginger Ale and cream, this looks like butterbeer, I swear! Next, try to find Every Flavour Beans, Chocolate Frogs and other HP-Candy. You can also use YellyBeans and Halloween-candy from a sweets shop nearby your house.

Step 10.Find everything in your house related to Harry Potter and stuff it all in the room where you're watching.

Step 11. Run around the house or play a game of tablefootball in the breaks between movies, it's nice to lose some energy.
